-Do you love teenagers and being a positive role model? Join us on our buses to competitions and trips, or at camp, as a chaperone!
-Do you have an artistic flair? We could use you in our publicity area, designing invitations and signs or decorating for events.
-Do like to host and plan events? We need hosts and planners for our auction, trips, competitions, and other fun events.
-Do you like to cook or plan meals? We need you to help feed our kids before games and parades!
-Do you have a knack for sewing? Our Color Guard has uniforms and flags to sew. Our uniform group would love to be able to provide alterations for our band members!

Home football games and post-season games: (5+ per year)

Leader: Check with Director ahead of time to see what needs to happen. Make sure the following things get done. Attend the game to make sure things go smoothly.
Water person Get the 2 yellow water containers from the band room and  fill halfway with ice from the kitchen (look for a maintenance person to let you in) or buy 2 bags of ice. Finish filling the container with water at the concession stand.  Put one on each end of the stands in band section. Make sure the yellow container of cups comes over on the pit cart. When the weather is cold, you could have hot cider or cocoa. Turn in receipts to treasurer for reimbursement. Afterward, the containers need to be washed out and left to air dry.
Homecoming game security team: At the homecoming game, put up a rope (from band room) around band section. Have about six to eight people standing around the edges of band section for the entire game including before the game and  at halftime to keep other kids out and to keep people from cutting through and knocking down instruments when band isn’t there. The homecoming game is very rowdy. Consider making a pathway through the band section for public to cut across.
Food committee: Check with Director a week before each game to see if food is needed. Food has been provided for the band if they are required to attend a band event at mealtime. This policy depends on the budget. In the past, either pizza is ordered or sandwiches made and pop purchased at a cost of about $200.  Volunteers have also provided cookies or brownies. Don’t forget about cleanup. Turn in receipts to treasurer for reimbursement.
Note: Food is typically not served for a normal home game except possibly homecoming. At homecoming, Students have to be around very early to practice, march in the parade, and march in the game.

Set up a small table (from pit trailer) by the trailer at the event for water and cups.  When the weather is cold, you could have hot cider or cocoa.
